Enhanced Environmental Health Practices

- Extensive Cleaning and Hygiene Protocols have been put in place

- Please give a call to reschedule your session if you are feeling sick or are exhibiting symptoms

- Staff will be required to stay home if feeling sick or exhibiting symptoms

Below you will find Cleaning and Hygiene Protocols (in outline form) and all EPA approved products now being used in the studio

STUDIO SANITATION (TABLE TURN-OVER AFTER EACH CLIENT)

1. Strip linens from session

2. Take LYSOL AEROSOL  

MIST: 

- MASSAGE TABLE & HEAD CRADLE

- all hard and soft flat surfaces 

- furniture doors and knobs

- light switches on walls and lamps

- studio door, door jam, doorknob (inside/outside studio)  

- clothing wall hooks

- table clock

- essential oil diffuser (if handled)

- heating pad switch (if used)

- hot rock machine (if used) switch and cover and handle

- microwave (if used) door, panel and handle

- hot pot (if used)

- YOUR PHONE

*** DO NOT wipe misted surfaces down

TOOLS & BOTTLES SANITATION (TABLE TURN-OVER AFTER EACH CLIENT)

1.  Group all massage products & tools together

2. Take bottle marked "TOOL, BOTTLE, SURFACE CLEANER"

SPRAY: 

- all massage oil and lotion bottles including their pumps

- massage salve containers (if used)

- massage guns (2 / if used)

- massage genie (if used)

- thumb guard (if used)

- stretching strap (if used)

- trigger point ball (if used)

*** Let items stand for 2 minutes

4. Wipe items down with a paper towel

5. Dispose of towel in the trash 

CLOSING SANITATION PROTOCOL (AFTER LAST CLIENT FOR THE DAY HAS LEFT STUDIO)

1. Group all massage product and massage tools together

2. Take bottle marked "TOOL, BOTTLE, SURFACE CLEANER"

SPRAY: 

- all massage oil and lotion bottles including their pumps

- massage salve containers 

- massage guns 

- massage genie 

- thumb guard 

- stretching strap 

- trigger point ball

*** Let items stand for 2 minutes

4. Wipe items down with a paper towel

5. Dispose of towel in the trash 

6. Take  LYSOL AEROSOL

7. Tie trash bag up from trash can and dispose of it in the designated area outside of the office to the left of the door 

8. Remove all used linens of the day from the linen basket and wrap in the white plastic linen bag. Place bag back beside linen basket for linen service pick up  

9. Take 1 SANI WIPE CLOTH 

10. After exiting studio for the day, wipe doorknob with the wipe and dispose of wipe in designated trash in the kitchen area

SAFE STUDIO ENVIRONMENT PROTOCOL

PRE-SESSION HYGIENE (CLIENT):

BEFORE INTAKE:

1. Ask your client to wash their HANDS with HAND SANITIZING SPRAY 

before ENTERING the studio for intake​

BEFORE START OF SESSION:

1. Have client RE-SANITIZE HANDS BEFORE beginning the session

IN SESSION HYGIENE (PRACTITIONER): 

BEFORE START OF SESSION:

Sanitize Hands & Forearms -

1. Take HAND SANITIZING SPRAY  bottle and spray 3- 4 SPRAYS into hands 

2. Rub hands together being sure to cover both palm and the backside of hands

3. Spray 3-4 SPRAYS in the palm of hands and spread solution up forearms to elbows

4. Proceed with session

*** Personal Barriers will be implemented during sessions if or when the COVID - 19 crisis escalates to Moderate - Critical Levels *** 

POST SESSION HYGIENE (CLIENT):

1. Ask your client to RE-SANITIZE HANDS upon EXITING the studio environment

TABLE TURN-OVER (STUDIO):

1. Remove and bag all linens from table and Perform STUDIO SANITATION      TURN-OVER PROTOCOL before RE-SANITIZING self

POST TABLE TURN-OVER (PRACTITIONER):

1. RE-SANITIZE HANDS and FOREARMS for next session
